OPT — Optimal Performance Training, LLC ("OPT", "we", "us", "our") operates the website optimalaz.com and provides personal training, group fitness, and related services in Mesa, Arizona. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights about it.

1. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact details : name, email address, phone number — when you book a free trial, sign up for a program, or message us through our website.
- Goals and history : what you tell us about your fitness goals, prior injuries, training history, or anything else you share so we can program your training.
- Payment information : if you become a paying client, we process payment through a third-party processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
Information collected automatically
- Standard web analytics : your browser type, IP address (for geographic region only), pages visited. Helps us understand which pages people find useful.
- Cookies : small files your browser stores so the site remembers your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings ; some features may stop working if you do.
2. How we use it
- Schedule and deliver the training you booked.
- Communicate with you about your sessions and progress.
- Send occasional updates about OPT's events or classes — only if you've opted in.
- Improve the website and our programs.
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, insurance, etc.).
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with parties that help us run the gym and serve our clients :
- Our team : the coaches and staff who work directly with you.
- Service providers : email, payment processing, website hosting, and analytics. Each has its own privacy policy and access only to what's needed.
- Legal authorities : if required by law, court order, or to protect someone's safety. We will tell you when this happens unless legally prohibited.
We do not share your information for advertising, list rentals, or third-party marketing.
4. How long we keep it
- Active client records : while you are a member or client, and for up to 7 years after your last session — for tax, legal, and insurance reasons.
- Inactive lead information : if you booked a free trial but didn't continue, we retain your contact info for up to 2 years unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Website analytics : up to 26 months by default.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights about your personal information. We honor these rights for everyone, regardless of location. You can ask us to :
- Show you what we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements above).
- Stop emailing you — every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- Stop sharing with our service providers (this may mean we can't continue serving you).

- Contract — to provide the training services you've booked.
- Legitimate interest — to operate the gym and improve our services.

6. Children's privacy
OPT's services are designed for adults (18+) unless arranged specifically for a minor with a parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through our website. If we learn we have, we delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information : encrypted transmission (HTTPS), restricted access, and secure hosting. No system is 100% secure ; if there's ever a breach that affects your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours of discovery.
8. Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites (social media, partner organizations). We're not responsible for those sites' privacy practices — read their policies separately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change or laws evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. If a change is material — meaning it affects how we use your information — we'll notify clients by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
